Where this stands in law
India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and Rules, 2025 are being brought into force in stages. The Data Protection Board’s rules took effect when the Rules were published in November 2025; the rules for Consent Managers apply from about November 2026; and most duties of a company like UniSphere, including notice, consent, security, breach reporting, retention and the rights described here, apply from about May 2027. UniSphere has built these tools ahead of that date. This is a description, not a promise that UniSphere meets every legal requirement: the work has not been reviewed by a lawyer or any regulator.
Current notice: version 2026-10-21.1, from 21 October 2026. Questions: Aditya Kumar Gupta, hello@unispheres.in.
